David Haugh calls the decision to bring back the infielder, who didn’t take his minor-league assignment very well, baffling. The Cubs will add more new/former faces tomorrow when the rosters expand. Last night: Kyle Hendricks was superb. Again. He lowered his league-leading ERA to 2.09 as the Cubs won their 21st game in August, marking their most victories in a month since they were 21-7 in May 1977.
